CNY 2009

I spent so much time browsing for blog widgets but not blogging .tsk tsk..So here i am once again.Last few days were quite fun with CNY celebrations,birthday party & long wkend.CNY celebration went fine with my hubby turning into an overnight star.hehehe.Yeah!he played the role as 'Nian' in the CNY skit.All,even the kids,enjoyed it so much.It was like my school days when they have skits based on the theme of the event(ah the gd old days....)The various Chinese food prepared but the chef was very nice.I got to eat sweet sour fish,prawn rolls etc..

During the long weekend,i went shopping.There was winter sale going on and i just went looking for some gd deals.Yes,i did ended up buying stuff but i was glad i was not impulsive.I also took full advantage of the items on sale.heehee.

Bake a Cake a day!

Been wondering wat to write abt...Haven't been doing much after i came back from winter break.I have got lots of plans n ideas.The list just gets longer.So,i tot i should get started with atleast one.So here's my first baking session couple of days back.I just wanted to learn to bake some simple recipes and found an extremely simple recipe online and tried it.I always get my hubby to rate my cooking(for further imprvments) and he gave me a 9/10 for the cake.Hehe..i guess its not bad for the start.


The cake vanished very quickly.Then,i wanted to try something else and asked Su for suggestion.She told me to try pineapple upside down cake.Neverheard of that name..i tot she was kidding me at first but I did find the recipes online.Then,i needed buttermilk for the recipe & made 2 trips to the hemshop as was given the wrong item bth times.Haiz..I buzzed Su and asked her if i could use milk instead of buttermilk.She said she uses milk.So here's the pics of my first 2 baking experience...(2nd cake turned out well but i was hoping for a different taste.maybe i shud have tried the other recipe)

Finally..

Finally,i got to start a new blog.I was blogging couple of yrs back but not consistent.Since,now i got all the time i try blogspot.Hopefully i can figure out using it quickly.Pls pardon my plain blogside..hehe..(Some tips wud help ;P)
