Bad Weather + boredom = super boring!

It's sad that i have nothing much to blog in November.The weather is cold and the sun is setting earlier & earlier.I have never realized the importance of sunlight until i came to Sweden.I had no idea it could be this bad.

I have been trying to keep myself occupied as much as possible but sometimes all i want to do is to stay in bed!Sleep...Hibernate...

Thankfully i have some books to read and i think i am going to start with an interesting book.Hopefully,i will have more interesting updates for Winter.

HaLlOwEen!!

It was Halloween night and we were bored at home.I knew that it was going to be an interesting night at centrum.So, we dressed up (just for fun) and head to check out the town..*evil grinz*

The dressing up was super last minute that i decided to reuse (remember the 3Rs?) and wore H's Grim the reaper mask (no need make up or hairdo).Then,i did the make up for H...Guess who he was this year??

He was Joker!!

And..that's me Grim the Reaper..hehe

After we finish the make up,H said that it was still early to go out as the party starts late.Hence,we sat down to watch a movie.Halfway through...i noticed this..

The Joker was Snoozing!!!Aiyoh...he was already sleeping!!I woke him up and said we should just go for the walk now then to wait longer.(It was about 11already)So,we went for the walk but before that Joker had a big task...

 What else..but to book laundry.wakakakaka!

He has secured a lot!

Anyways,our basement (Laundry room area) was so spooky that we took few more shots there.

The big task was over and we head out.It was true..the night was still early (not so many people yet) but i did see a handful of people in costume.We took a short walk .I saw a man in cow suit again (why do i always get to see this only)!Most of them were still sober and i could see that the party has just begun..Too bad we were tired and went back home to hit the sack!

It was a good day out.I had fun and the weather wasn't so bad.We also had the parks to ourselves as there wasn't anyone there (except for that little girl looking at us).So,we clicked away as many pictures as possible.hehehe

New Addiction-The Good Wife

I came across this series when i was looking for something else & i was attracted by the funny title.I watched the first few episodes from Season 1 and now am hooked to it!For those of you who missed shows like Ally Mcbeal,The practice etc,I'm sure you will like this.

Season 2 is going on now and i just can't wait for the next episodes....Who will the 'good wife' stay with?Her husband (who cheated on her) or her old flame (who is still sincerely in love with her)..I am sure they are going to drag that part very long to keep the audience watching...guess i will have to wait & see..

Hubby's Birthday

This year H's birthday was very simple due to work.I felt bad that he was going to be away from home on his birthday.So,I decided to surprise him with a cake at 12midnight (when he was getting ready for work).

I haven't really mastered the skill of baking and i had underestimated the skill & effort required for even a simple birthday cake!!I was glad that i somehow managed an amateurish cake (that did taste good).

So..at 12MN...TADA!

You can see why i call it amateurish cake,right?I had a hard time making the chocolate surface even and do the writings(but hey it is the effort that matters,right?)

This is the only decent photo i took.He was sleeping when i woke him up that other pictures not so good to post (he looked sleepy lah).Anyways,he was surprised and happy that i baked him a cake.

I also made for him wontons* and prawn noodles for dinner.

Endhiran - World Premiere

Endhiran was the first Indian movie to be released in Sweden's capital,Stockholm.The movie was also showed in Gothenburg,Malmo,Ronneby & Karlskrona.When H told me to check out if Endhiran was playing Karlskrona..I thought he was crazy.I was wondering who would want to show this movie in this small town.Especially,when many Indians here speak telegu or Hindi.This is a tamil movie but they had English subtitles.So non tamil-speaking Indians turned up for the movie too.There was also a Swedish family seated beside me when i went for the show.
I am a fan of Rajinikanth (the male lead) & A.R.Rahman (Oscar winning music director).So,i was estatic to go for the show at Karlskrona Theatre!

One of the review online describes Endhiran as 'A sci-fi masala' movie and i cannot agree more with this.The was movie was a typical tamil movie just with better visual effects,music,cinematography etc.Logic was missing drastically but i loved the ending.I think Rajini still has his charisma as an anti hero.I began to enjoy the movie once the villain Rajini appeared.The last 40-50mins,IMHO,was FANTABULOUS with the graphics!!

Songs were great and went well with the locations.

I loved this location but i am not very sure where it was filmed.The other beautiful location was Machu Picchu in Peru

Park Guell & Flamenco Dance and others

 It was expensive to visit Antoni Gaudi's works & We were also short of time that ,we skipped this one and just took pictures from outside.

 

  

 

 

We walked down Paseo de Gracia and noticed that there were many cabs on the streets now.We changed plan again to take cab to Park Guell.I wasn't sure if we can just flag for a cab anywhere but we just tried our luck.Too bad..all the cabs were occupied mostly by tourist.Sherin & i were getting hungry.So,we settled for the nearby Thai restaurant .(Thank God they had reasonably priced set lunch)

The food was good too!

 Forget to take picture of main course..Here's the mouth-watering dessert..

Now that our tummies were full,we had more energy.Hailing a cab was still a failure.Change of plan again...We decided to check out the Flamenco Dance Place.We got the information we needed & proceed to do some shopping.Then,we saw some people heading to the metro station.The metro had started!!

Luckily,there were escalators to go up the slope!

We got to rest our bums on these cooling designer seats after the long walk.Designed by Antoni Gaudi,of cause!

I heard that Gaudi used dicarded broken mosaics for his artworks.He can truly turn unwanted mosaics into beautiful designs.What a talented man.

As shops were all completely closed now,we rushed to catch the 2030 Flamenco show & paid 5Euro extra for dinner.The food was really bad..but atleast i got to taste Sangria.

 

 The female lead was firece & agressive with her movement but the others seemed more gracious

 I liked their hair,dress & overall appearence

 She was swinging her scarf so fast.

I wanted to record on video for H to see but my camera battery was low and Sherin'w was flat.Therefore,i just took a bit.Unfortunately,it turned out to be the part when the guy was shaking his butt.Heehee
