I wasn't planning anything for our 2nd Anniversary as we are leaving for holiday this weekend (belated celebration?).Moreover,i was also busy preparing for the trip today.

Hubby sms me around 5pm to get ready for dinner.(So,he had plans..hehehe)He didn't tell where was dinner going to be (Surprise?)but i saw him changing into jeans and shirt.I knew it must be somewhere special and dressed up accordingly.

We left home and walked to the main street.He told me that we were walking to the car (but all restaurants are in centrum,why drive?).Then,we crossed the road and tada...The dinner was at Monmarte.

Me:What!! you ask me to dress up to go across the street ?
Hubby: ??!!!

I was just trying to pull his legs.I was truly happy that he wanted to surprise me and remembered that i wanted to try the food there for very long time.Thanks alot dear!I love you and Happy Anniversary!!!

p.s.:The food was realllyyyy gooood!

Tea with Hubby!

Made some banana fritters and masala chai as hubby was at home today.It was slightly different to jemput jemput as i used 1 cup semolina and 1/2 cup of plain flour instead of the just plain flour.The fritters was crispy and went along well with the tea :)

Vaxjo

We went to Vaxjo yesterday to get our visas settled.I was hoping for a sunny day and wore fewer layers.It turned out to be a rainy and windy day!

We reached close to 12noon there and thought we should check out the place first so that we can come back after lunch.Somehow,we got the wrong address online and ended up at a residential area.The building that the GPS directed us to was a school.We both had a bad feeling about the address and decided to go for lunch first as it was lunch hour anyway.

Lunch was at Shanghai Palace...bit exp but food was not bad.

After lunch,we search for the address again on hubby's ipod and realized that we had the wrong address earlier.

Visa was settled very fast and then we went on to walk around centrum.I managed to get a nice pair of purple shoe that was on sale.Hehehehe!It was not so comfortable but WTH? if am going to stick to comfort i won't get to wear that many nice heels!

YOYOBAH!

I have been wanting to get Jojoba oil for my dry scalp and dandruff problem.I tried the Body Shop at Vaxjo.I asked the sales assistant for Jojoba oil and she looked very quizzical.I was quite sure that Body Shop would have that.Then,I went to another shop which was selling essential oils and stuff and asked the same thing.This lady had the same quizzical look.So,I tried telling her yoyobah.She instantly knew it and showed me to the section.Pronunciation can be a huge barrier,huh?hahaha.

My Weekend with no cold water!!

Everything was fine on Saturday until afternoon.There was no cold water.I am not sure what the problem was exactly but a guy from Heimstaden told us that there will be no cold water until monday!!!

Hot Water - Cold water = No warmwater

I thought that no water was a big problem but no warmwater was a even bigger headache.

1.I had to wash dishes in very hot water.

2.I had to boil water and warm it for drinking.

3.There was no water to flush!!

4.I had to cool the hot water before taking my bath and that too is limited to 2 pails.

Its monday already and i just can't wait to get cold water supply.I want to take a warm bath ;wash my hair and continue my daily routines as per normal!!!

Malabar Prawn Briyani

I didn't have many stuff in the fridge today as i haven't been grocery shopping.Hubby was back and i had too cook.

I was a bit tempted to try briyani as i had egg briyani on Tuesday and felt cooking something simple and spicy.I browsed for recipes and found one.It was simple and i had all the ingredients.It was easy to make and i didn't feel heavy after eating.

Lunch n Tea with SRK

Thought there was going to be sun yesterday and went out for lunch..but windy and cold.

We went to the Thai Restaurant near Subway for lunch.It was my first time there.The buffet was slightly expensive but was worth it and i like the food here.. better than Royal Thai.

After walking around,we decided to go back to my place for tea.I tried to make Rai's masala Chai again.It was simple and had a mild taste of spice that i liked.(Tnx for recipe sharing,Rai)We watched Chalte Chalte while having tea.(n drooling at SRK)

Earth Hour 2010!

This is my 2nd year taking part in Earth Hour.Not only is it a time to stand against climate change but it is also a great time to bond with family and friends.This year spend the hour also thinking what else you can do to save our planet!

Showtime!

With hubby away it was so hard to keep myself occupied last weekend.(got no one to bully)We used to watch movies together but his absence didn't stop me from entertaining myself.Hehehe.Watched 3 good movie!

The bollywood version of Aladin.It was a good entertainer and hilarious.This is the second movie i am watching with Ritesh Deshmukh and i have already become his fan.His not bad looking and he can play his role well despite acting along with the veteran actor.

Finally,i got to watch this movie.Hubby watched it when i was in Sing so,i had to wait till he was sailing to catch it.The plot was good.I truly enjoyed Gerard Butler's character and mind games!Be sure to watch it if you haven't.

The 3rd movie i watched was An Education.Its a nice story and the message was loud and clear.Mulligan looks very charming and carried her role extraordinarily well!Kudos to her.
