Day 3:Florence

This day we visited the Accademia gallery where you can witness the great works of Michelangelo. We managed to book the tickets online before our trip inorder to avoid the queue. We were advised to go 15min before our timeslot.

Even one without knowlegde and passion for art will fall in love with the paintings and sculptures. This is where you can see the original David by Michelangelo.Photos and videos were strictly not allowed here that i didn't get to take pictures.

Below is some quick facts about David.
Its not easy to find words to describe a sculpture that is so magnificent. One has to see it to believe it.The details were so perfect from head to toe.Below is the copy of David statue found at the square. Then,we walked around the square and took pictures at the Bapistry of San Giovanni.

The bronze doors of the Bapistry
Hubby wanted to try the Tuscan food for dinner that we headed to a typical Tuscan Restaurant that was famous with the locals. We took a cab there as it was abit outskirt.

They gave us this once we sat down and realised later that it was charged to our bill but it was very nice.

Homemade Wine and it was very good. There is 1 on every table and u pay for what u drink only.

This one below was hubby's Primi piatti a.k.a appetizer but i don't remember the name of the dish.

Our main course Steak! It was very yummy and juicy!

After the delicious meal i thought of trying their dessert too.I was asking the lady who attended to us for recommendations. She was not very well verse in English and was struggling to reply when the the couple next to our table chorused 'TIRAMISU!'Looking at their excited reply i ordered that.
I am no big fan of Tiramisu at all as i don't like coffee that much but trust me this was GREAT!The coffee was little but still tasted bit strong. The chocolate taste was there and it melts in your mouth!!Super Super Yummy!

Overall, the restaurant is very good and price is reasonable for the food. You must go there before 8pm to beat the local crowd.Their website is http://altranvai.it/the_recipes.html
